Peter Knapp
Voice coach and Baritone
Peter Knapp is Professor of Singing at the
Trinity College of Music, Greenwich,
London. He has a distinguished
international career, singing the title
roles in many operas and is also a concert
soloist. He has translated and directed
operas and has established his own
company, Travelling Opera which has
toured both nationally and
internationally. He regularly appears as a
soloist at our concerts and with Janet
Haney provides coaching at our workshops.
Helen Massey
SopranoOriginally from Cheshire, Helen Massey studied at the Royal College and Royal Academy of Music. Whilst at the RCM, Helen won the Peter Pears Duo and English Song prizes. She also sang as a soloist for Sir David Wilcocks in concerts at the RCM and King’s, and played the role of Emmie in Sir Thomas Allen’s directorial debut production of Benjamin Britten’s Albert Herring. For further study, Helen worked with Dennis O’Neill at his Cardiff International Academy of Voice (CIAV). In professional Opera she has taken the roles of Nannetta in Falstaff and Tytania in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Link to Helen Massey
Susan Waters
Voice coachSusan Waters is Professor of Singing at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, as well as leading Choral workshops and regularly teaching on the Eton Summer Choral courses. In the past she has been a voice coach to choristers of King’s College, Cambridge. Susan regularly shares the coaching duties at our workshops.
Sally Silver
SopranoSally Silver’s international career began in
her home country of South Africa, where she
made her operatic debut as Lauretta in
Gianni Schicchi. She has sung several
leading roles at Scottish Opera including
Lucia and Elvira in Bellini’s I Puritani.

Peter Bailey
PianistPeter Bailey trained at the Royal College of Music and won several college prizes. He is an accomplished pianist who has performed throughout Europe with touring companies including Cameo Opera, Opera d’Amici and Barrandov Opera. Peter is the Music Director of Pavilion Opera with which he has toured Britain, Europe, Japan and the Philippines. He regularly accompanies the Jubilate Choir and is also a visiting coach/accompanist at Morley College, London.
